Every year when I enter a hand full of drawings into American Illustration (one of the illustration industry’s award annuals) I assume I won’t get in. With some 9000 entries, it probably has the lowest odds in the illustration award biz. Thrilled to somehow have six images in the new annual, American Illustration 33. Even better is the range that was selected: an image from my upcoming kids book “Shooting at the Stars,” drawings in my church sketchbook and a mostly typographic book jacket. Thanks to Mark Heflin and the jury at AI!
